We recently installed and started Health Checker on zOS1.7 on a z890-2085-A04 machine. One of the checks called VSM_SQA_THRESHOLD raised an alert that ESQA utilization has exceeded 80% and is now at 82%. Explanation: The current allocation of ESQA storage is 82% of 19756K 3454K is still available.
This is my current ieasys setting
SQA=(6,120)
CSA=(2000,101200),
I was thinking of increasing SQA by about 4K, if my math is correct this would bring me some where to about 70% utilization. I know is depends on what's running. My question is, if I increase SQA do I have to make other storage changes? Any other exposure to be careful of?
Thanks |

You see that ESQA is using about 16M (82% of 19756K) and you want to increase by only 4K? You need to add 2M to get back to 70% used.
You're currently specifying 120 for ESQA. These are 64K blocks. Increase to 152 to get 2M more. _________________ Regards,
