Hi,

We have a requirement to schedule a job based on the retun code of previous job, is this possible in JOBTRAC?

For eg:

Job1 --> Job2 ---> Job3 ---> Job4

Now Job1 has a last step which returns a code 5 if a file is empty and 2 if not empty.

So if return code of Job1 is 5 we want the schedule to be

Job1 ---> Job4 i.e. skip Job2 and job3

Is this possible in jobtrac?

this kind of activity is almost a prerequisite for a scheduler.

since jobtrac is at your site, you should have documention, suggest you read it and determine how.

why do you not ask your operations dept?
