Hi All,

It is possible to search a specific string in all SDSF members in single shot. (Like a member search in list of PDS by using MEMBER XXXXXXX in 3.4)

Scenerio:
In the SDSF I had 120 jobs, I need to find a string 'FINISHED' (which we were gave in DISPLAY statements). Instead of opening all 120 Jobs and search, is there any option to search the string in single shot? I'm not familar with Rexx.

Thanks in advance
Hari

gharidoss,

At the SDSF command prompt type LOG and hit enter and then type F 'your string to be searched'

Hi Kolusu,

Thanks for the reply.

I tried your solution, I got this message when I gave LOG command "COMMAND NOT AUTHORIZED" (RACF). Is there any other solution in this case.

Thanks,
Hari

gharidoss,

Run batch sdsf and copy the sysout from all the jobs and then search this dataset for the desired string. Check this link for running SDSF in batch
