rajeshkoratti,
Just wondering as to why you need such information. Most softwares give out a 90 or atleast 30 day warning messages in the sysout of the jobs you run. Syncsort expiry date can be found 3rd line of the job sysout.

Hi Kolusu
Thanks for your reply. We needed to verify that the newly installed SELCOPY was showing the correct expiry date or not.
BTW i checked the JESMSGLG and found the expiry date. Also its available in the SYSPRINT of SELCOPY. _________________ Thanks and Regards..

Not sure what you mean by this. DFSORT is an optional feature of z/OS. Once your site licenses (enables) DFSORT, you can continue to use it and subsequent versions unless your site decides to cancel the license. _________________ Frank Yaeger - DFSORT Development Team (IBM)

Frank,
do you mean that the cost of DFSORT is 'bundled into' the site license for the OS, so when the DFSORT license runs out nobody can tell because the whole machine is down? _________________ Dick Brenholtz

DFSORT is shipped with z/OS as an "optional feature". The site can license it by enabling it if they choose to do so, which of course would mean they have to pay for it. It's a monthly charge. As long as the site pays the monthly charge for DFSORT, the DFSORT license doesn't "run out". I assume the extra cost is added to the overall site license charge from IBM somehow, but as a developer I don't get involved in the details of how the billing works. _________________ Frank Yaeger - DFSORT Development Team (IBM)
