We have successfully upgraded from DB2 V5 to DB2 V8. I know I had a few questions while we were at it and would like to thank everyone who helped.

My question now is:

What is the part that hooks up to DDF? What is the workstation software? I searched the IBM site for DB2 Trials and there's about a kazillion different things running on every platform that ever existed.

We need now to do two things: Verify that the DDF - TCPIP - VTAM definitions are correct and that somebody out there can actually DO whatever it is he's supposed to be able to do and evaluate the usage and value added by the software.

Any experiences or recommendations would be appreciated!
