|
|
I have many records (MCD) in my MCDS which no longer have a data set associated with it on the MVS system. The MCD entry shows an MVS data set name but the data sets have been deleted from the MVS system long ago. I have tried using FIXCDS but it does nothing. Is there some way to remove the old entries? |

Run a HSM audit on the MCDS. I ALWAYS use NOFIX as an option as you will never know what processing HSM will en counter during the audit process.
The output from the audit will contain the control statements to correct your problem. All you need to do is to uncomment the ones that you require and then process them. |

What are you MCDS cleanup parameters set to in the HSM startup file ?
What did you try with FIXCDS and what was the result
I would still try the audit first. This will show you whether HSM thinks there is a problem or not. _________________ If it's true that we are here to help others,
