Hi All,
We have Macro's (related to Net.data from IBM) which have both HTML and Java script within it. I'm totally new to this concept.
These Macro's gets executed thru Web url and the page gets displayed on to the browser.
When we have to change any of the macros we have to change in the mainframe but I came to know that these reside on UNIX box. When ever we want to modify the Macro we have to check out in the mainframe and has to do the changes.
I'm astonished on how the UNIX and MAINFRAME are linked and how these are checked out from UNIX to MAINFRAME machine as both are 2 different operating systems.
Please Clarify. _________________ Tx

There is a separate subsystem in the mainframe operating system called unix system services or open mvs (OMVS). This has its own file system, HFS or the newer file system ZFS. Take a look at the manuals to find out more about the subject. |
