We have an LPAR that runs ASI v20r3 in DB2 v5 on OS/390 v2r9. We are looking at moving the software to a z/OS v1r4 machine with DB2 v7. Has anyone had any experience with this and were there any problems?

Bithead,

what does ASI mean? Is it Automated Support Infrastructure or Accessibility Speech Interface or Application ScoreWare International or someting else?

American Software International. It is a package product with functionality similar to SAP.

Bithead,

We also HAD ASI's package of CICS screens and DB2 interface. As far as I know there aren't any major issues with the DB2 upgrade from version 5 to version 7. Note that the stored procedures are defined differently in version 7 when compared to version 5. DB2 Versions 4,5,6 use the SYSIBM.SYSPROCEDURES table to keep information about stored procedures. If you are using DB2 Version 7 then it is sysibm.sysroutines

Kolusu,

I checked SYSPROCEDURES tabale and there are no entries on that LPAR other than those that came with DB2.

Thanks for your feedback.
