U4309 ABEND - How can we resolve it?

Hi Board,
While running the COBOL file reading program(which calls some sub-programs) I got U4309 abend. When I was running the same program previously I got S0C1 abend. And the nexttime(I mean nextday) I got U4309 abend.
What could be cause of Abend S0C1 and U4309? & How can we resolve it?
