Hi,
I'm currently investigating a project to transform our current file transfer process.

I'm looking to find information and/or gather opinions on various mainframe file transfer products.

Currently we run connect:direct but we'd like to be able to scrap this in the future.

Ideally a replacement would also give users some kind of panel driven tool to do file transfers - nice but not necessary.

Any information would be great.

Thanks, Julie

While I would support the continued use of CONNECT:Direct for Enterprise-wide file transfers, I also like the CONNECT:Enterprise and CONNECT:Gateway products also. In your case, the available CICS interface would probably work very well.

We have NetView File Transfer (NFTP) from IBM. Mostly used by batch but it does have an ISPF interface.
