hi all,

I have one question regarding file please help me in this regard.

how to find the name of the dataset related to the file id in CICS environment?

eg.

EXEC CICS STARTBR
FILE (' fileid ')
RIDFLD (KEY)
KEYLENGTH (LENGTH OF KEY)
.........
here how can we know the file id related dataset name.

CEMT INQUIRE FILE

Will list all the Fileid's and their correspoding Datasets defined to your CICS region.

CEMT INQUIRE FILE(fileid)

Will give the Status of the given fileid in the CICS region.
