jacky_ying,

MODRSNRC consists of 3 portions.

Mod is two character Catalog module issuing Rc/Rsn
Rsn is one byte reason code
Rc is one byte return code

CSIFIELD is CSI selection criteria fields

Dwork is the Amount Of Work Area Used

Check these links which might be of some help

Jacky,

I wrote a COBOL program to call IGGCSI00, its not very polished. It does work much faster than IDCAMS. Send me an email if your interested in the code.

Chuck H.

Parsing multiple variable length areas in COBOL is a bit tricky, but if you're brave enough it can be done. Not only that but its reasonably efficient.
