Does anyone have a routine or query that will do the following?
Recieve a s9(09)v99 input and pass the 'Legal Amount' back.
Example would be:
In 92122
Out Nine-Hundred -Twenty-One Dollars and 22/100
or
Out Nine-Hundred-Twenty-One Dollars and 22 Cents
In 8933
Out Eighty Nine Dollars 21/100
or
Out Eighty Nine Dollars and 21 Cents
In 234355
Out Two Thousand Three Hundered Forty Three Dollars and 55/100
or
Out Two Thousand Three Hundered Forty Three Dollars and 55 Cents _________________ Thanks,

NASCAR9,
I don't think it is possible to achieve the desired results using SQL. You may need an UDF. However there is a cobol pgm to do it. Are you interested?

Thanks Kolusu,
We a have many check programs here at work. All have some COBOL routine that produces the 'Legal Amount'. I searched and did not find a standard SQL Function, LE, or COBOL routine. Was hoping I missed something.
When you say COBOL PGM, are you referring to an IBM supplied routine or custom code? _________________ Thanks,
