stansaraczewski,
well valid question but I don't have an answer. It is a personal choice. But would it really make a difference if you knew the location?

No need to make a difference - it would be nice to know. I'm on several other professional forums and it is nice to know where these people are that you are speaking with. |

Followup question since you, Koluso, are a site admin: the word 'beginner' appears below my name on postings. How does it get changed ? Is it referring to a beginner in this forum ? I started my IT career in 1968 so it makes me feel a bit odd to be called a 'beginner'. |

stansaraczewski,
The rank is purely based on the no: posts posted. Here is a link which explains the ranking system

What to be called - Good question.
In the US we are called 'gray hairs'... those that worked with 80 (and 96) column cards, and those that actully wired EAM boards.
Does anyone else have an opinion here ? |

It was no big deal to me! No matter what your "label", if your # of posts is low you may catch some flack on questions if you don't follow the forum guidelines.
Consider it motivation to respond to as many posts as possible! _________________ Regards,

Yes, I see that number of responses is how you build your title.
I'm enjoying roaming around the different forums here... hope to be able to contribute. |
