could u plz explain INCLUDE=(501,2,SS,EQ,C'11,22')

It includes records that have '11' or '22' in positions 501-502. It's a shorter way of writing:

Code:

   INCLUDE=(501,2,CH,EQ,C'11',OR,501,2,CH,EQ,C'22')

"z/OS DFSORT Application Programming Guide" has complete details on all of the DFSORT and ICETOOL keywords. You can access it online, along with all of the other DFSORT books, from:

www.ibm.com/servers/storage/support/software/sort/mvs/srtmpub.html

As Shekar already mentioned, if you're not familiar with DFSORT and DFSORT's ICETOOL, it would be a good idea to read through "z/OS DFSORT: Getting Started". It's an excellent tutorial, with lots of examples, that will show you how to use DFSORT, DFSORT's ICETOOL and DFSORT Symbols. You can access it from the link above.
