Hi,
I'm using Sun's JCAPS integration suite to connect to IMS via IMS eWay and IMS Connect software.
I have an issue where I can execute a transaction via IMS terminal but I get a DFS1292E SECURITY VIOLATION if executed via IMS Connect. Both methods use the same UserId and Password, but I get different results.
Anyone faced similar issue?
Thank you.

Here we use a product called Seebeyond. looks like sun bought this.
check whether the mapping is correct for the user id and password .
Some of these mainframe user ids are restricted to use from certain IP addresses. so check with your RACF team to find out whether you can use the uer id from eWay |

chiewst,
Check and see if
1. Host name is misspelled or is not sufficiently qualified
2. Incorrect port
3. TCP/IP failure. Always ensure a successful "ping" prior to running the IVP
4. Datastore name is incorrect or is misspelled. Datastore name must be in uppercase characters.
5. Wrong level of IMS Connect running on the host. Ensure that IMS Connect is V2.1.3 or above.
