thanks Nic.

By looking into the book, I couldn't find the detailed description of MVC and CLI. Can Nic or someone help me by pointing out exactly where these two are formally explained?

I am sorry if this is to obvious to you, but I really tried....

Thanks

I wouldn't expect the Programmer's Guide to give you detailed info on the instructions but you asked for JCL to execute the assembler. The Language Reference should give you detailed info on instructions - but I have just had a quick look and it does not appear to. I do not program in assembler and the book I use when I do is at home and not at my digs. IF you cannot work out MVC or CLI from the language reference you could try the Principles of Operation manual - not listed on Quick Manuals so you will have to look on the IBM manuals site.

Thanks again Nic. I found those two. But now I have an other one that can not be found at any where you mentioned. --> SLL.

Can anyone help? And can anyone give some guidence of how to find the remaining op-codes, macro or instruction codes? I hating the feeling of getting lost this way.
