So many functions are available it's difficult to remember them all.
Someday COBOL will be dead and we'll all just be coding ICETOOLs! _________________ Regards,

I think in future ICETOOL will give more solution where we can avoid programming most of the time and complete the work using JCL.

That's why we publish "z/OS DFSORT Application Programming Guide" and "z/OS DFSORT: Getting Started" and all of the papers on the new function PTFs.

You won't get far with just JCL - it's the application programs and utilities that are run via JCL that do the work. _________________ Utility and Program control cards are NOT, repeat NOT, JCL. |

Nic,
I've noticed that many people on this board (and others) use the term "JCL" to mean "not a program I have to write". I know this incorrect terminology annoys some people a lot, but I'm not sure it really does any good to point it out since people have been pointing it out for years and you still see the incorrect usage. In this case, the poster clearer meant "using DFSORT". You may just need to take a breath and accept it. _________________ Frank Yaeger - DFSORT Development Team (IBM)
