OTMA is a protocol within IMS that allows input messages to be received from another program using XML (as opposed to the traditional method of being input from a terminal).
IMS Connect is a program that sends messages to IMS via the OTMA protocol. IMS Connect receives the messages (usually) from a TCP/IP client (such as Websphere). |

Thanks arnold..
Can you give me some more details from application programmer view.
I think OTMA is a behind the screen kind of task manager. How about the IMS connect ? Will we have to code something in specific in application program or this is also something internal to IMS region. I am having very little knowledge of IMS connect.
Please help me with more details. I greatly appreciate your help. |

IMS Connect is mainly used for accessing IMS transaction from other platforms outside of mainframe. |
