Hi All,
We are working on a project were we need to migrate the codes/application which includes both online and batch from one mainfrmae to other mainframe. The need is due to new vendor owing the
support. What I would like to know is their any guidence / check points / risk which needs to followed while migrating the data. If anyone has any experience on this please guide me.
Thanks,

Hello Gupta,
your main concern should be, that the new compile procedures produce the same output as your old ones. This includes:
- versions of compilers, DB2 and CICS precompilers, Debug-Tool, etc.
- parameter settings for the compilers, etc, since these normaly differ between installations
- language environments options that rule the runtime behaviour of your applications
The best thing is to copy your sources to the new destination, prepare them new from scratch and then do intense testing.
regards
